C507 LTU was Mike Stuarts works supported 1986 British Championship rally car, and also competed in Europe. At the end of 1986 the car was sold to Michael Shield (owner at the time of Croft rallycross circuit) who used it successfully for several seasons culminating in beating Will Gollop to the 1989 British Rallycross championship.
Michael Shield had the car converted back to “road” spec and the rolling shell was bought by Ian Rowlance who mothballed the shell and used the engine and transmission in D809 EBJ with great success.
